Progress
Follow the development of Dyopter from idea to prototype.
After parking my bike at the station, it was gone upon my return. I had only had it for two years, and the police could not help. I realized this was something I had considered as a risk, but discarded due to the lack of options.
Looking into how other developed their trackers - and what is missing. Over 10 different trackers were torn down to their bare boards.
Presenting the idea to receive feedback and build an understanding of how to get beyond a prototype, as well as user interviews with cyclists in Germany, Belgium, France and Denmark, and 3 cycle shops across Belgium.
Following some scrappy prototyping using off the shelf components, the first fully custom circuit boards were prepared. Although still very rough prototypes, they enabled testing the whole end to end idea in the real world.
Refining the design is underway, pushing my skill ceiling a bit. A better app is being prepared and the back-end infrastructure still needs consideration. Want to help? Reach out!
